Shameful or responsible

I work full time and my husband recently lost his job. I applied for ebt because my financial advisor said it will help especially with having kids. I feel so shameful because I’ve never asked for help even during covid I make it work out. But I can’t take on another job right now.

Show your support

There is no shame in feeding your kids. You’re one person. You also need rest, food, and to be there with your kids.

That's what the aid is there for, use it! I give you tremendous credit for working as hard as you do, getting support doesn't erase any of that.

No shame in feeding your family. I hope your husband finds something else soon 🤞

Shameful would be not wanting to work to stay on ebt like many ppl but there is no shame in getting some help that is there until you get yourself back on your feet. Hope the situation gets better soon

Funny how the people who work the hardest feel the most guilt about taking help when they need it. You should absolutely not feel ashamed. You’ve been working, paying your taxes etc. if you need help take it!
