I don't understand how you're concerned about dairy but also giving your mac and cheese? We do all kinds of fruits and vegetables. Grapes, bananas, broccoli, peas, carrots roasted, mashed potatoes. We've even done strips of roasted chicken or pork loin.
@Erin I said she can't do much dairy .. a little is fine. And I'm not really concerned about it. A little iffy bc she's had issues but like I said she's getting better... mostly just wondering what solids everyone is doing.
I actually JUST started my girl in BLW at 9 months old….. and honestly I wish I would’ve just jumped right in sooner! She’s eating literally everything we’re eating and not gagging or anything. (Obviously breaking down the food to make it smaller for her) so honestly I’d say just start giving her whatever you’re eating!
My daughter loves multi grain cheerios soaked in almond milk, scrambled eggs, soft/cooked vegetables, salmon patties, grilled chicken, crab meat, she does fine with Greek-yogurt, soft fruit (pears, peaches, bananas, strawberries, and mangos), and some peanut butter.
I give my baby whatever I eat tbh
My baby is 10 months and still only watching purée. He gets disgusted when he touches food and we have to use a spoon. We have no clue what we are doing. Doesn’t do well with non purée foods just yet.
Download the Solid Starts app! You can type in any food and it will tell you how to prepare it and cut it safely. (There are paid options for recipes and things, but looking up foods is free!) I use it literally every day and baby eats what we eat. Last night she had salmon, potatoes, and broccoli.
Mine loves omelets, broccoli, shrimp scampi, cinnamon apples, orange segments with the membrane removed, roasted beets, dill pickles. Just about anything really. The solid starts app is a good place to start, but mostly I just take what we are having and chop it up small with kitchen shears. The only thing we don't really give her is raw vegetables.
My baby also can’t have dairy and eggs and only had a few teeth but I feed her pretty much anything as long as it’s properly cooked and in the right size for her to eat! Just make sure it’s soft enough for you to mash between two fingers. Mine especially loves zucchini and broccoli but will try any foods I offer
