It’s going to be hard to hand off your baby and leave. I was a daycare teacher in the baby room. Just know we love your babies like they are our own. They should have an app for letting you know throughout the day on what they have been doing like each bottle and diaper change and naps.
Oh and when you walk into the room to pick them up, they are going to be so excited to see you!!
It will be hard, there is no easy way around that. But like Marla said they will be excited to see you. They will catch colds like every month the first year and half but will build a good immune system. My oldest is almost 3 and we are seeing fewer colds. This past year and didn't have any virus that kept her out. Also they learn SO much while there and have friends to play with. My LO is always making a note to saying by to her friends and I hear about her having a great time playing. And in the morning all her friends shout her her name good moring which put a smile on her face. My youngest is in the infant room and again its been hard, never easy even with baby 2 but i know she'll make friends ☺️ I get plenty of pictures of them during the day and get updates regarding their schedules which is nice.
My baby has been in daycare on and off the last 3 weeks. I was unhappy the first week since he just looked sooo miserable when I picked him up but then we realized he got sick. So he had to stay home the whole next week to recover (very bad cough / congestion / fever). He looks much better when I pick him up when he’s healthy so that made me feel better. The next week he got sick again and it was even worse. But I’m hoping he builds up some immunity quickly. Otherwise, I’m not sure how long we could do daycare if he’s sick and I have to stay home with him each time. I also got sick from him both times for 4-6 days. My mom friends say it will pass eventually and lessen in severity 🤞
I’m nervous too! He starts in two weeks 💔
