Introducing a Bottle of Formula

My EBF refuses a bottle of formula but will take a bottle of expressed breastmilk. I struggle to find enough time to pump. Has anyone managed to get their LOs on a bottle of formula? My OH would like to be able to give a bottle of formula so I could nip out to do little jobs or go to the gym ect and she wanted milk.

Have you started weaning yet? We tried to get ours to take a bottle of formula for months and he would scream. Once we started weaning he suddenly loves it. He only has 3-5 oz but he is dropping feeds in general with the amount of food hes having. Could you try mix formula with some porridge or weetabix to get them used to the taste. For reference we use the aptamil 1 ready made stuff in a mam size 2 bottle and heat it up a bit.

@Simone Yes we have and she's loving it. I thought weaning would help her take it as well but unfortunately hasn't been the case. That's fantastic you have seen a change though. I will try the mixing idea. Thank you 😊.

I'm not sure what changed for us but it was genuinely like a switch flicked and he took it. We did stop trying for a week or two in between attempts as it was stressing us out too much when he refused it

Our lg wouldn’t take a bottle at all and we tried alsorts. In the end we tried her with a sippy cup and she took the milk (breast and formula) from there straight away. Maybe try a cup?

@Becky Maybe a stupid question but is it warm when you put it in the sippy cup and which one do you use?
