I had both of my fallopian tubes completely removed due to an infection caused by a surgery to remove some endometrial growths and I can say that it was fine overall, but I definitely don’t have the same sex drive that I had before the surgery. Otherwise I don’t think I’ve had any weird side effects or complications from it.
@Lizz see that makes me nervous because I definitely enjoy a lot of sex and I don't want to suddenly not enjoy anything
@Jo I don’t think it happens to everyone and I definitely still enjoy sex when I have it, it’s just like not something I ever really think about or initiate anymore like I used to. It’s not something I don’t want to do, but I just like don’t have a lot of urges on my own if that makes sense?? Like I’m always down when asked and it feels the same and as good as it always did, it’s just like I don’t have the urge or need to independently as often without being asked I guess if that makes any sense. I’m sure it can be different for everyone but that’s how my experience has been.
Just answered someone else about tubes tying lol so I’m just gonna copy and paste the comment from me My mom somehow got pregnant even with her tubes tied when I was around 5 years old. She wasn’t suppose to have me it favored all odds or something I think it was because of her heart? but she definitely wasn’t suppose to be pregnant again or it could kill her. It indeed landed her in the hospital. Something about the tubes forming back together? So she literally had a tubal pregnancy even with her tubes tied I’m pretty sure that’s rare though but I’d just keep it in mind
I had my tubes removed during my last c section. Lower libido was never mentioned as a side effect. I am actually a bigger horndog now than before 🤣 which is fine by me My only difference was my first few periods were massively heavy but I was also freshly PP so it's hard to say if it was the tubal causing it
from what i've read, people only reallyyy feel "side effects" if they're coming off birth control around the time of the operation. i would go for a bisalp instead of a tubal though
@destiny 🪷 oh good cuz I can't take birth control for other health reasons so I won't be coming off of anything
@Jo if you visit reddit, r/sterilization is SO helpful if you need more testimonies from people who have had it done too
@Jo That’s why I don’t want it… well partly anyways.
I have several friends who have/had post tubal ligation syndrome.
