Potty Training

I bought a little potty but haven’t officially started. My little man takes his diaper off if it’s super wet 😂 but when I try to put him on the toilet he doesn’t want to.

It’s really tricky. You just have to kind of watch them when they show interest. I thought mine was showing interest months ago but when I bought the potty, he would sit on it a little bit he would never go to the bathroom so I took the little toilet off and put it on the big toilet and he would just cry And hold onto me so we haven’t officially started but when he’s wet, he’ll pick at his diaper just a little bit I feel like when they’re ready they’ll show a lot more interest than just taking their diaper off and watching you go to the bathroom

I have a little potty set up in the bathroom. I thought he was getting ready maybe a month ago because he would tell us when he was pooping or about to poop. But he stopped doing that so idk 😅 Although today he did tell me AFTER he pooped "Mommy I poop again." 🤣 I'm kind of lost on potty training tbh.

There’s definitely signs on being ready, like my son started closing his bedroom to poop and then brings me a diaper. Grabs himself to let you know he’s peeing 🤣🤣 we bought a small potty but won’t be training for another month or so tho cause I just had baby #2

I forgot that too! What @Elizabeth mentioned , mine hides beside my bookshelf to poop and under my kitchen table 😂 He hasn’t taken his diaper off yet but he does come straight to me when he’s done and give me a kiss lol

I have a potty for my daughter for Christmas but she hasn’t showed signs of interest in potting yet. I let her come to the bathroom when I go potty so she starts to recognize it but I’ll probably end up waiting until 2 years old to start training or when she shows interest in the potty. I want her to be excited about it

So we decided to get a floor potty and a thing for the big potty because she was bringing us a diaper and her changing pad when she needed changed so I figured we'd start with "hey, do you want to sit on the potty?" Every so often. And we sign potty as well. She has peed on the potty like 3 or 4 times but more so when we first started it. She'll say she has to potty but either not want to sit long or it is literally just after she peed already so we sit on the potty for no reason for like 5-10 min. Well, I wouldn't say no reason, we have flash cards to help keep her occupied and they are potty only flashcards. So sometimes if she just wants to play with them she'll say she has to potty 😂

Potty trained my baby at 18 months old, took 3 days of being consistent and on the potty every 30 min. First day was the worst then got better. Good luck.
