My baby keeps choking, what am i doing wrong😭

My baby is 16 weeks, and we’ve struggled a bit recently with positioning now they are bigger. Recently, they’ve been choking during every feed. I’ve no idea if it’s my let down, or me or how i’m feeding. They’ve already started to feed less/pull away more and i’m scared it’s going to become a full feeding aversion and be the end of my breastfeeding journey which i’ve loved so far. Any advice would be great, i asked the health visitor but they didn’t have much info for me😭

Definitely could be your let down or the baby could have silent reflux. My letdown is strong sometimes and I was recommended to pump a little before I feed so it’s not as strong

@Dalyahlah oh, we do think he has reflux and have discussed this with the health visitor before but i didn’t know it could affect the actual feed ☹️

Could definitely be let down if I remember correctly it was very similar for my lo around 4 month mark x

Likely over supply and forceful let down! Changing to feeding in laid back position resolved this for us.

@Lucy did it get better or did you have to correct it?

@Rebecca thank you, i will try that!

Hopefully will be an easy fix for you! I couldn't believe how simple it was to resolve after struggling with it for months!

@Rebecca it seems to have really helped, thank you so much!!

So happy to hear that incog!
