let it be?

baby is three months and a few weeks. he woke up from a nap clearly still tired. i rocked him to bed and he fell asleep and i put him in the bassinet and he was there for maybe 5 minutes before crying. did it again and now it’s been 10 minutes and he’s crying. do i try to wait and see if he will put himself to sleep? if so, how long do i wait?

I wait until mine fusses then I grab her

20 minutes.

Personally I will always go grab my boy if he cries. If he's just kind of flailing and grunting I'll let him see if he can figure out what's bothering him. The way I see it, once they're crying their little brains are off of problem solving and on to just panic. Can't learn anything when you're panicking.

Honestly it’s whatever your comfortable with and depends on the type of crying - ie 10/10 screaming vs fussing on/off

If my son is whining I leave him but if he starts actually crying I always go pick him up. After trying to get him back down a couple times and still being unsuccessful I usually just start his wake window from there

20 minutes is insane 😭😭 I’d say 5 ish mins

My girl falls asleep on her own- so if she doesn’t fall asleep and is crying it usually means she’s hungry lol

If my son is just fussing, I'll let him lay there and see what happens. If he's full on crying, I'll grab him. Usually they won't go back to sleep once they've worked themselves up.

@Kayla see mine will go back to sleep.. so I give her more leeway to cry it out cause she will connect sleep cycles

I recommend checking out MomS on Call or Taking Cara Babies programs.
