Fish 🐟🐠

I’m looking to try my little one with fish soon, how did everyone give fish for the first time? 😊 I’ve been told to do fish fingers but wondering if there’s other ways, my little girl can’t have milk though!

My girl loves fish! She just has part of a cod loin. Flakes really well and easy to eat. Fish fingers are really high in salt and really unhealthy, I’d avoid unless making your own. There’s not much nutritional benefit to them

I baked him Salmon with a bit of herbs and garlic. Mashed with a fork alongside steamed veggies. It was a hit and he was about 6.5 months then! I've seen some recipes do tots as well x

I used the inside of a fish finger (took the batter off) and mixed through mash potato with a side of peas

My son loves fish! His first was salmon and it was a total hit!

Salmon fish cakes work well

I did fish fingers he’s also had fish pie and just plain cod aswell x

I just cooked white fish with a bit of oil on and then mashed it into small flakes so she could pick up and eat herself. I’m a bit weary of stick foods at this age as she’s biting off more than she can chew and it makes me so nervous! But you can see any missed bones if you flake it x
