29+4

Just had my baby feb 16th at 29+4 due to frequent decels. He weighed 3 lbs 2 oz. We already had our first big scare (pericardial effusion) and they had to do a chest tap but he’s responded well since then & I am beyond grateful for that. It’s a hard road but I look forward to being on the other side of it. We lost our first baby at 20 weeks so the idea of leaving the hospital twice without my baby is scary. How often did you all see your babies when they were in the NICU?

I went in every single day for 5 hours at a time till he came home

I went everyday and tried to be present for doctors rounds. Just remember to look after yourselves also. It’s a tough road.

as a preemie/nicu mummy i just wanted to say you got this!! it’s a massive rollercoaster and it will always stick with you some way or another but you’re doing amazing! we saw our little man every day as soon as we woke up, some hospitals offer a room for nicu parents (ours didn’t) but i know that some do as we got transferred to a specialist hospital and they offered them to many parents! x

With my 29wk2d first born, I saw her 81 of her 83 days in the NICU everyday for 8-12 hours a day.

Had my baby at 24 weeks He spent 151 days in hospital, I visited him every day for 4 to 5 hours

I went every day except during an ice storm and when I was sick. Days when I couldn't see my twins in the NICU were rough. Sometimes if I needed a break I didn't stay as long. And when I couldn't go I would call the nurses and get an update. It is tiring going back and forth!
