I traveled when I was 30 weeks with my first and I just asked my midwife to provide it for me, she typed up a letter detailing how far on I was, whether there were any complications in my pregnancy and put my due date on there. She typed it up for me and printed it onto a NHS letter she added her contact details on too. I only got asked for it when departing
I got mine from my midwife which was free vs gp who would charge. It's only valid for a certain period of time tho so supposes to be some close to travelling - no one asked for mine (travelling at 25 weeks with very evident bump)
I got one from my gp for free but was a bit earlier in my pregnancy and had a few issues
I got mine at the midwife appointment closest to going on holiday. Took 1 minute for them to fill in and free.
Double check with your midwife, some of them are happy to do it others will tell you to ask a doctor, where I work the doctors who attend MAU are usually happy to do it. It’s not an actual certificate, it’s a letter that is written and signed by the doctor and generally needs the hospital stamp for authentication, if you have any risks I. Your pregnancy they can refuse to do it. Just ensure you travel with your maternity notes wherever you are going.
Hi lovely. I would also read easyJet's terms because I got a fit to fly certificate ready to fly with Jet 2 but because I got the certificate a few weeks early, it was considered "out of date" and I had to rush to get my doctor to do another while I was on holiday! Xxx
My GP done mine and I paid £10 x
You just need to ask for a form at your gp's reception. It takes a few weeks to get it done and you have to pay for it. No one asked for mine when i travelled around 32 weeks though
