It can also be a sign they are getting sick - but that was definitely my issue.
My baby was being extra fussy at feedings and it got worse around 5 to 6 weeks and turns out she has a diary sensitivity. Dr tested her poop and found blood. Now I have to eliminate dairy from my diet. Before that it didn’t seem to be to bothered before until the 5 and 6 week mark.
We had a similar issue except our LO was soothing herself by eating more than usual vs less (she was VERY fussy during feeds). We all believed she was mistaking stomach pain with hunger pains so she was hardcore soothing by only wanting the bottle. We switched her to a sensitive formula (she was on similac 360 total care originally, so we switched to the sensitive version of that exact formula) and her feedings went back to normal. Consulting our pediatrician with our daughter’s symptoms was really what steered us in the right direction.
If the flow of their bottle nipple is too slow, sometimes they get frustrated and don’t want to eat
@Alexis i’ve already changed her nipples very recently
Hey I’ve actually been having this same problem for a few days, so badly that my baby was eating only 1oz during feeds then refusing the rest of his bottle ): I swapped the formula and he ate 4oz right away.. I think they get tired of the same flavour over and over again sometimes? I was on my eighth can of this same formula and I don’t think he ever really loved it but last week in particular he was really starting to dislike it.
