Yes, that's absolutely fine. It is spread by direct, skin to skin contact so a walk is fine. 🙂
If you want to take your baby out to shop, a walk or anywhere. If they are well enough in themselves just take them. If someone approaches just advise them they have in this case chicken pox. X
@Charlotte they are probably asking if they have chicken pox. Confirming it isn’t a power move. Staying away from public is the safe thing to do. A walk where there’s no contact is fine but shopping is risky business.
Yes we took my daughter out when she had it, I asked our gp what the advice was and they told me as long as you’re staying away from other children and the elderly then to continue as normal as possible as long as they were well in themselves.
@Charlotte thank you that’s really helpful. He’s totally fine in himself and I’m not intending on taking him to softplay or to see anyone really but we could get cabin fever staying home!
You’re welcome :) if you’ve got any friends whose kids have already have it, can also do play dates. Or one of my friends came for a play date so her LG could get it in a controlled fashion, so more options for keeping busy.
@Charlotte need to stay away from pregnant people too. I have never had it so was always on high alert when pregnant
@Carli definitely should if they’ve never had it.
I would say that’s fine 🥰
