False starts

So I’m 39 weeks and ready to have this baby! Haven’t had a VE but dr said baby “well engaged” over a week ago. Every evening I get “tightening” which spreads across my belly until it’s all rock hard and is uncomfortable, last night it was bad enough to wake me during the night and very painful, not regular though. Happened every few mins for an hour then stopped and then came back every 10/15min until I slept again. When I walk I feel a similar tightening low in my bump. I’ve had diarrhoea for two/three days. When I do any of the natural labour inducing things (bounce on ball, nip stim, miles circuit) the tightenings amp up and then stop. It’s so disheartening to think THIS IS IT and then it isn’t !! Anyone else?

I’ll be 40 weeks tomorrow and since Sunday I’ve been having contractions on and off. My waters haven’t broke yet but my mucus plug has gone. I was checked on Monday and I was 1cm dilated. The pressure is awful on my bladder and I keep thinking I need the toilet. It’s just so uncomfortable 😫

Yes I keep feeling desperate for the toilet but when I go pee it’s like a trickle 🙈 For my last baby I lost my plug at 39+6 and was in labour 24hours later…but a long slow labour

This is me right now! I keep thinking is this the beginning as they keep getting more intense or worse each day just to taper off at bedtime

I actually just discussed with MV she said it’s “spurious labour”

And unfortunately had no answer to how long it would last !

i’ve been having the exact same for 2 weeks and i’m 40 weeks on sunday! Just want baby to hurry up now x

Well on one hand I’m glad we are all in it together and on the other hand I’d rather it was labour starting finally! Has anyone had a sweep or anything done?

GIRLS last night I was so close to ringing my mum to get here asap in the morning for my toddler. Honestly 2hours 2-4 of regular “contractions” and I would say some PAINFUL not just uncomfortable and then I fell asleep…woke up and nada. All gone. Normal.
