YES omg my calf felt like it was on fire for around 15 seconds🤣 it happened for a few days in a row, apparently is due to extra lactic acid.I have been taking magnesium and calcium and it seems to have helped. Also make sure you stretch before going to bed, hasn’t happened to me again!
I’m actually scared to go to bed tonight in case it happens again 😂😂😂
I had a couple last week and had to wake my partner up so he could massage my leg 😆 excruciating! My leg has only just recovered from the muscle being pulled! Fingers crossed it’s not a regular thing
Yes I get these often with my calves! It usually happens when you’ve been on your feet too long/excercising and us having weak ankles 🤣 They are called Charley Horses and are basically muscle spasms. Make sure you’re having plenty of water and getting enough vits like potassium and calcium. 🫶🏼 When it’s happening, I try and focus on my breathing and hold my leg with a firm rub. I feel like it helps reduce the time. Hope you’re ok! 🤍✨
I’ve had similar experiences, my midwife said drinking tonic water can help! I was like a beached whale trying to get rid of it it was so painful! I’m almost scared to fully stretch incase it happens again 😂
Mine are like that today but I've definitely did to much walking yesterday.
Yes!! Worst thing ever!! Once I was limping for a few days from the pain 🤣 not happened as much as learnt to not go too crazy with my leg stretches middle of night!
@Amy do you ever wake up wide awake mid stretch and think NOOOO and manage to stop the stretch right before it gives you a cramp? That’s me most nights just able to avoid it lol pregnancy is traumatising
@Leonie yessss!!! Manage to stop it most night now that I’ve learnt hard way but it’s so hard cos I just need a stretch!!
i get these nearly every night, i end up waking my partner with it and he just moans at me to stretch my leg but that hurts😂 i just squeeze my pillow until it stops, normally takes about 10 seconds till i feel my leg stretching out again😮💨
Leg cramps all night long! Especially when all you wanna do is stretch then that comes along.
Yep, every night for the last 3days iv woke up with cramp in my left leg
Don’t know if this helps but the midwife with my first said leaving a pillow at the end of the bed to stop your toes pointing down
Yup! Hydration and magnesium supposedly helps but tbh like you say it’s just another symptom to put up with
