Baby clothes

I’m 26 weeks tomorrow. When do you start to wash baby clothes ? What laundry detergent/ softener are you using ?

They do tend to say 4-6wks prior to due date to avoid collecting dust. I will be using Fairy Non-Bio but any non-bio zero added fragrance should be okay.

I’m 29 weeks. I don’t think I’ll do them for a bit yet. Maybe 32 ish? But personal preference. I will use fairy non bio

I'll be doing mine from 33 weeks but that's mainly because I am finishing work and hopefully the weather will be a bit warmer to hang out. I would have done it later but my first born came early and it was a bit of a shock so want to be more prepared this time round 😅

I posted similar a couple of weeks ago and had a mix of answers, some saying wait, some saying whenever you want to, but most people were saying it’s personal preference! I’m a teacher on my last half term before I go on mat leave at easter, so although I’m only 28+5 I’ve used the week to do a lot of my washing and organising whilst I have the time and before I get too uncomfortable! My flat doesn’t get very dusty though, if it did I may have left it a bit later. I used fairy non bio pods and then comfort pure hypoallergenic softener, both have babies on the packaging and the combination smells lovely ☺️

My mum has all our baby stuff while we get the room decorated and she's washed all of them 😅 they are folded and put in a big plastic box
