The principal made an assumption and you just corrected him. Now I can’t say if it was done rudely because I don’t know what tone was used. Sometimes other people think something sounds rude when the person speaking doesn’t mean for it to come across rude based on how it was said.
Not rude.
@Christina Yeah I used very respectful tone looking for him to understand my situation. I’m Easter European so we’re famous with being a little too direct and honest and we hate sugar coating or saying things like “Not a problem I’ll help” so that they hear what they want to hear and then be a no show. It’s just hard for me to read how people in US take someone being direct.
Not rude. Rude of him to assume - he should have asked if you had extra free time to help. People don’t learn to behave appropriately if no one corrects them.
Not rude at all
Nope, not rude! You just clarified and corrected his assumption and gave details 🤷🏻♀️
Not rude at all. Working from home doesn't equal sahm. I think I would have been a little more rude 😂
I personally think it was rude of the principal to assume that just because you’re a sahm that you have all the time in the world. I don’t think you said anything wrong.
