Average amount of milk pumped?

I’m about 6 weeks pp and I pump almost every 3 hours and get 2oz total each time, sometimes I’ll get 3-4oz first thing in the morning. Is this normal?

I’m pretty much the same as you, except I’m only 3 weeks postpartum. I usually pump between 2-4 ounces, with the most being in the morning. My baby only eats 2 ounces so I’m producing just enough for each of her meals and that’s perfectly fine! We’re really only supposed to make enough to feed our babies- any more is an oversupply. While it would be nice to have a bunch of extra milk to store for my babygirl, it’s completely normal to be a “just enougher”. 🫶🏾🫶🏾

FTM so I have no idea of what is normal. I pump every 4-5 hours and get a wide range. This morning I got 12 oz which is pretty normal for me in the mornings. The rest of the day can be anywhere from 6oz-12oz. 6 weeks pp. Baby eats 3-4 oz at a time.

2-4oz is “normal” is what my lactation lady told me.

Yes! There is so much on social media right now about supplements to increase your supply. But you don’t need to produce more than your baby eats. I mean as someone exclusively pumping it’s nice to get your freezer stash up but do not stress over the amount you’re producing. That’s normal!

You have to sacrifice and change your diet if you already haven’t eat all green foods ….salmon is a good one I drink body armors and water most of the day …. I eat oatmeal with grounded up flaxseed I just made pancakes with oats and flaxseed in it for breakfast boiled eggs are good too you just have to eat eat eat and drink drink drink stay away from eating out home cooked meals are best results
