Long lasting milk supply?

Have mamas that breastfed off one breast per nursing session and swap each time able to have a long sustaining breastfeeding journey? WITHOUT PUMPING — I use a boon trove on the opposite breast while feeding and catch about 1-2 ounces each feed.

Im almost 6 weeks pp, and have been alternating these one sided feeds since the beginning.

My LC told me that I might not make it to a year breastfeeding this way. I offer the second breast but 99% of the time my LO won’t take it.

you didn’t pump early on to help establish a strong supply? She made it seem like that’s where I went wrong

I've been breastfeeding my little boy for 6 and a half months now and I rarely offer both boobs, except if he seems really hungry. Go with what you think is best, your body knows what it's doing!

i’ve only offered one side per session since the beginning and now i’ve been ebf for 13 months!! even when one side dried up my other side kept going and makes double the amount. i may be lopsided but it’s worth it lol learn from my mistake and offer the your or babies least favorite side just as often, especially when your milk regulates around 3 months! my baby had a preference for my left side so i kept feeding him on that side to make him happy and would pump my right side only and that side started failing without my baby’s help lol

I’m 2.5 years in to breastfeeding and 11 months nearly into tandem and I only offered 1 boob per feed because she generally didn’t need the other boob and were absolutely fine supply wise :) I wouldn’t worry too much about it offer it if you feel they need it and alternate boob with feedings x

I have always offered one side per feed and we are nearly 14 months in, never pumped to boost supply. your body knows exactly what it is doing, trust it

I only offered one (I still do). My baby is 8 months old, still BF, gaining weight really well and I’ve never had a scare with my supply dropping.

Nearly 6 months and only ever done one side each time and not had any problems

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Baby with chronic congestion

Hi everyone! My 1 year has been a congested baby since birth almost. She breathes through her mouth so often that it wakes her up multiple times at night and she cries and screams and then struggles to go back to sleep. She wakes up every 1-3 hours and sometimes can’t go back to sleep for 2-3 hours!!! Piriton is the only thing that seems to help her sleep mostly through the night but I can’t keep giving her that!!
Does anyone have tips as to have I can do or give her? Has anyone experienced? I have no idea when I’ll get an ENT appointment and I have no idea what he can give a 13 mo :( we are desperate for sleep so any tips are welcome!! We have tried steam inhalation, saline drops, vapour rubs and everything off the counter basically!

Combi feeding advice

Has anyone gone from EBF to combi feeding? Currently do one bottle of EBM per night and they one half formula half breast milk mixed in the day. The other times she still feeds on me. Ideally I want to feed all day via bottle and all night with breast. She’s 7 weeks and takes a bottle well, how long should I leave it before adding another bottle to her daily routine?
