@Melissa ok yay! She’s been doing it for over a month now I’m like when is she gonna make the connection🤣
Does she have anything to push along? Something like a toy pram? Can be a distraction from the actual act of walking - and without thinking about it they’re suddenly pushing it along
Push walker helps them manoeuvre their legs, he was pushing and running around w the push walker long before he started to let go and walk. But he cruised furniture fine as well. Mine walked at 14m
@Rosa yes she does! We have 2 walkers actually
@Kellie yes she has 2 walkers here at home she uses
I actually found that a toy pram was better than a walker. We also had several walkers - but what really built confidence was a light toy pram. As I said, I think it was because the interest and focus was in pushing that (and the doll sitting in it along) - rather than a lot of pressure and focus on walking itself. And a light toy pram doesn’t offer the same support as a walker, so the child seems to try to stand up more independently, rather than lean on it as they tend to do with a walker. I thought it was interesting to see.
That’s very interesting, thank you for that!
Yup, downward-dogging is a step towards learning how to stand on their own! Mine does squats now all day, I keep saying she gets up in the most difficult way possible 😂
