Toys

Does anyone else’s toddler not really play with toys? I have a 16 month old boy and he has so many toys, a play kitchen, toot toot car track, he likes to just walk around with items and throw them but doesn’t actually play with anything really

My eldest daughter was the same, she didn't really start playing with her toys until she was 2/3 year old. She was more into running around & exploring before then. My eldest uses her imagination a lot & really enjoys drawing/colouring/art. So, I wouldn't worry it could be that your toddlers interests lay somewhere else.

My sons favourite toy is a dustpan and brush...I wouldn't stress too much :)

My daughter plays with toys but we limit how many are out at any time. We found that if every toy was out she wouldn't know what to do with herself and I'm guessing she found it really overwhelming so now we have maybe 5 or 6 different ones (jigsaw, busy book, a couple of blocks, books etc) out and then rotate them every so often!

My daughter is the same loves running around the house either holding toys or just random items, she loves the coasters off the table. She’ll sit down and play but mainly only if I sit and play with her otherwise she seems bored hah

My daughter’s the same right now too. She used to be great at independent playing. But the past couple months she’s just interested in everything but her toys.

My LB loves his toys but is currently going through a phase of running around with whatever he can get out of the cupboards/drawers 🤦🏻‍♀️😆 he was running around with a duster/dustpan and brush/lunchbox today 🤣 ... training him young 😉 x

Yepp mine is definitely the same, loves my hoover and sweeping brush😂😂😂

@Tasha mine too 🤣
