Does expressed milk help your baby sleep better?

Those of you that give a bottle of expressed milk before bed, do you find it helps them sleep better? Or is it no different than straight from the boob?

When my little one was blocked up with a cold I found he slept better on expressed milk but that was only because he was struggling to keep latched with his blocked nose. They have to work harder for milk straight from the breast than bottles. But I don’t think there’s much of a difference, for me it was just easier whilst he was unwell x

My daughter is now 2.5 and was breastfed from the boob until just after she turned 2 and she slept through the night from an early age. I read the book Boobin all day, Boobin all night which is good reading too for breastfeeding families x

I breastfeed almost exclusively but occasionally his dad will give him a bottle before bed and I find he goes a few hours longer before wanting that first night feed, I don’t know if it’s because he gets the milk in a faster hit and it’s warmer so he essentially goes into a food coma haha I don’t know for certain, could be a coincidence x

I started exclusively pumping at 6 weeks and within 2 days of starting that my LG slept through 7/8pm - 6/7am and *touch wood* has not woken in the night since 7th Dec! Although this is great I have dealt with majorly missing her latching on, huge mum guilt and 4 lots of mastitis since 1st Jan 🫠 x
