@Kayleigh yeah sorry I should have said! I’m using formula xx
They can struggle to digest formula when they are this little as they are just getting used to especially the powder formula! Are they uncomfy with it? Ready to feed bottles are good for helping them to go as it’s not as hard for them to digest xx
hiya, my little one is now 6 weeks and has struggled with this since she was born, she was on kendamil first stage but i changed her milk over a week ago to kendamil colic and constipation. She was only pooing once or twice a week and was in a lot of pain/discomfort, since swapping her over she is now pooing every 2/3 days and is definitely alot more settled. Try alot of bicycle legs and rubbing her tummy helps ease the pain.
@Mirren hey, I’m also using Kendamil but the organic one, he finally did a poo last night late and was like a different baby. How long did you wait until you swapped? Conscious I don’t want to just switch it if it’s just a case of him been so little! xx
Hey, i waited till she was 5 weeks as i kept being told by HV and GP she was fine and not to change the milk but i knew myself she wasn’t it was a long 5 weeks and i eventually just switched and i wish i did it sooner to be honest!
@Mirren thank you! I might give it another week then make the plunge if he’s still no better! Xx
Trust your gut with the formula - you know your baby better than the HV or GP! If you feel he isn’t getting on well with the Kendamil then try another brand. They all have to meet certain standards but babies react differently to certain ones and they aren’t all the same! My first was uncomfy from birth in cow and gate - couldn’t poo but when he did he was a different baby. I finally switched his formula to Kendamil when he was 4 weeks and he was completely settled - this time we are using SMA and I haven’t had any problems with my second. It’s horrible seeing them uncomfortable xx
Are they on formula?? Xx
