Vax or not

The time for our babies turning 1 and the next round of vaccines, are you avoiding them, pushing the off or getting one versus others? I’m driving myself nuts that if I don’t he might get sick and if I do he might get sicks just curious what everyone is doing no judgement here either way

Mine is getting them he is a heart baby

No vax, got sick once, I'm pushing polio as much as I can until all info is out, lest just say I'm skeptical about pharmas interest

No vax I'm skeptical like @Erika I saw this interview that was informative help me make that decision hope it helps https://youtu.be/sUXHFoQldRk?si=3gulDLeoPvzohIAJ

No vaccines at all yet for our 3/15 baby. She has never been sick and is healthy and perfect. We are going to push them out as far as we can. Do your research mamas and ask to see inserts before making your vaccine related decisions.

My daughter has gotten all of her scheduled vaccines but I will not give her the flu vaccines. She's been healthy. I don't want big pharma poisoning/killing my daughter, but I also don't want her to get really sick and it could've been prevented by being exposed by vaccines. I will definitely be doing research.

Getting all vaccines for both my kids, including the seasonal ones. It's not just about me, it's about the children and sick and elderly and everyone else who may not be able to be vaccinated or who are more vulnerable even while vaccinated; it's about herd immunity. I used to not get the flu vaccine until an immunocompromised friend (who's also a doctor) pointed out it kept her safe too. People act like there isn't a crazy amount of money in the anti-vax movement as well. E.g RFK Jr. has pocketed hundreds of millions of dollars from his antivax charities, not even counting his book sales. And then there's all the anti-vax influencers and alternative wellness products. The research solidly comes in favor of vaccines, and people start getting sick when herd immunity drops. I want to contribute to keeping the community safe, even if it means my kid having a fever for a day, even if I never meet the people who would have gotten infected otherwise.

Mine has had all vaccines so far and has never been sick a day in his life yet. Planning on getting all the recommended ones at one. Only one we didn’t do was covid but we did the flu

We'll be following the vaccine schedule

My son has had 0 vaccines. I have also had 0 vaccines my whole life. I barely have ever been sick. My son has been sick a couple times with a cough but not much at all!

It’s frustrating that no matter what choice you make it feels like the wrong one.

Thank you all for your feedback @Nat like you said I feel like whatever choice I make there are always risks I guess all I can tell myself and believe that as moms we’re all doing what we think is the best for our babies!

I recently moved from Europe to America, until now my daughter has all of them, but the vaccination scheme in here is disturbing. There are so many vaccines compared to where I am from. I will push the MMR until she can talk, and I will deffo do it back in my country. 72 vaccines to put in a child is completely crazy for me

@Diana how many recommended vaccines are in Europe?

Commenting to follow…thank you all for sharing ❤️

@Natalie @Diana seconding this question…tho I guess I could just look it up too xD

So in Romania, where I am from(apparently every country is choosing the scheme of vaccination) there are 10 mandatory vaccines. There are the optional ones, another 8 . Mostly of the optional ones are for : meningitis, Hep A, Flu, Rotavirus and specific ones if you travel.

I'm confused about 72? As far as I know, and according to the CDC website, there are 14 plus the two seasons for children? And even if you count up all the individual doses it's like in the 20s across a few years? I know the UK gives a 6-in-1 shot, and apparently don't currently vaccinate for chickenpox (I still have the scars from contracting them as a kid before the vaccine was available). I guess there is a recommendation to start offering chickenpox. I'm struggling to get to 72 from reading the CDC website though, and I'm not seeing a huge difference between the US and UK list of what illnesses children are vaccinated against looking online.

@Brittany yes you are completely right. I got misinformed. I checked now a proper source and it say that are 20 in total. Still a lot, but not that many indeed

@Diana yay, I'm glad you found a better source and are at least less alarmed! I view it as I'm so lucky to live in a place where my children have access to more protection! 😊

@Brittany I don’t think all vaccines are necessary if you ask me, but I totally understand and respect your opinion
