Being you outside of “mom”
How are y’all balancing between being mom, taking care of the house, spending quality time with your partner, AND getting enough sleep and being able to have time for yourself and take care of yourself so you don’t feel badly about yourself? Because I’m struggling. I can’t seem to find time to prioritize myself. I really would like to start exercising and getting back in shape, but I literally can’t.
I am now a single mom at the age of 18. our situations are a lot different and that’s okay! I was in a muck mindset where every day felt the same and emotionally and mentally it was hard but physically I knew it was so easy. now that me and his dad are coparenting I have a week that I spoil myself with a bunch of skincare and things like that and I really take time for the things I need to and thinking about it it hurts that I could do it alone. i’m not suggesting that to do it alone but definitely talk to your partner about prioritizing self-care time and spoiling yourself even if it is 10 extra minutes to do your make up or him putting the baby to bed so you could put a hair mask in and then you could step in. Painting made a difference.
