How different were your little ones' movements like in utero?

I'm almost 34 weeks with my second. I've struggled with discerning a pattern. My first was kicking a lot, twisting and turning right up to 40 weeks. My second only turns and stretches. She will kick like 5/6 times in a row out of nowhere every few weeks but that's it. I'm lucky if I get even 5 kicks a day. I understand it can be her normal but this is vastly different from my first and I'm worried about her movements. What were your babies like in utero in terms of movements? Did they differ or seem similar enough? Did they maintain this demeanor out in the real world?

My first was so involved with us too, would respond to everything, including dad's cooking and me saying his name, as well as us talking to her, poking at her and rubbing her back. This baby gets quiet the moment I try to talk to her after she gets active. I wait for a response but she just decides to stop doing whatever she was doing instead. I don't feel like she likes us much at all as we struggle to get her attention and she seems to be in her own little bubble. If I don't talk to her during her shifts, shuffles and stretches she just keeps doing them. I almost feel bad trying to communicate as I want her to be active. Placenta wise my first had hers at the very top, shielding my ribcage. This time I have it towards my back so I know I'm definitely feeling majority of the movements. Just really stressed out but midwives say if that's how she's been and there hasn't been a change then it's fine. Why doesn't she kick though?

How does her heart rate seem & how are the ultrasounds? All 3 of my pregnancies, personally, were pretty active. Idk how it can be for other babies though.

My first and second were active im carrying my third and he barley moves I feel him roll but not really kick he’s always sleeping

@Alexandra I'm considered high risk but she seems perfect so far. Growing great, organs look well, chord is fine, heartrate is perfect. With my first there were low fluid levels and there's a potential of this happening again as she's currently got 11cm AFI and it'll only reduce from now onwards and her older sister at 40 weeks had 6.4cm AFI. She moves plenty, just doesn't kick. It's the lack of kicking as a movement that's bothersome. Instead she stretches out and drags her limbs across the sack. Hurts me much more than kicks do :) In your pregnancies would you say kicks were the primary movement you felt?

My first was a lazzzyy fetus, his main thing was to turn around and get comfortable to go back to sleep a few times a day. He would respond back to you but otherwise not a kicker. My second however always wanted to stretch out, especially her legs and kick about soo much and hard that it made clicking sounds. I never knew clicking sounds could come from a growing baby…but she does have clicky joints even after
