SAHM Sick Day

Honestly, I power through. My husband travels for work. My daughter doesn’t get a lot of tv time but when I’m sick she does. If I’m desperate, I haven’t been yet, I would call my MIL to come over and help. Do you have a babysitter that could help?

My mom is watching him today. Yesterday she was sick also but according to her Dr she’s not contagious so today she’s watching him.

My husband has only called out once in 4 years for me. I definitely wish he’d call off in the moment but when I’m not sick I can think clearly and remember that he supports us and him missing work is not worth it lol

I'm sorry you're sick, hun! And what Lucy said - ya just gotta power through. It's rough, but hopefully, your little one will just cuddle up with you and watch TV til you're better. Drink lots of water!

We are fortunate enough to have my husband’s mother, father, and step mother all nearby and willing to help. They’ve been able to help us cover when we’re too sick to function. But, there have been days when I’ve had to power through and it really sucked. Sorry you’re going through that and hopefully you feel better soon!

Extended family.... I would ask them to step in.

Thank y’all so much! I had some sort of infection that quickly set in. Needed 2 different antibiotics to knock whatever it was out. Which I guess in a way didn’t make me feel like I was being silly or like a lazy mom. 😅 My mom did step in and help cover everything. And now that I’m all back together my husband did work that day I was sick just popped in and out a few times to make sure he got what he needed to done so maybe a half day altogether for the week I was sick. Thank goodness for screens during a situation like this. 😅
