Brushing teeth🪥🦷

My little one is 5 months and has 2 bottom teeth👀 it occurred to me this morning that I should probably start brushing them. Can anyone recommend a toothpaste to use?

You just need the ones from the super market that are for under 3’s. The normal brands, Colgate etc

Colgate or aquafresh 0-2 years old one. Although I've not been brushing mine just using water and getting her used to the Toothbrush

We use Colgate for 0-2 years ☺️

I booked mine a dentist appointment. I’m hoping he can prescribe a baby toothpaste or something

@Beatriz why would you need toothpaste when you can just buy it?

Aquafresh or Colgate do a 0-2 toothpaste. Just makes sure its mint & not fruity

@Beatriz prescribe a baby toothpaste😂😂 just get one from the supermarket

Lmao I worded mine wrong I meant why would you need toothpaste prescribed when you can just buy it 😂😂

Boots do a good 0-3 Apple mint toothpaste, it’s the only one my daughter will use, she hates regular mint flavour

We got given a toothpaste from our health visitor at our 10/12 month check. Apparently the Colgate toothpastes for babies (which we had been using) don’t have any fluoride in them which they need in the toothpaste now it’s no longer in our drinking water (this is just what my health visitor told me) They did have the same toothpaste for sale at our local sure start centre x

I’d recommend skipping the “fruity” flavoured toothpastes and going straight for a minty one. Aquafresh do a 0-2 years one. Also get them registered for a dentist asap as it can take months!

@Lizzie yep I agree. Mint is best whether they like the taste or not

@Jasmine I don’t know what’s so funny. In my country dentists prescribe baby toothpaste 😅

Thank you! I’ll get her the aqua fresh one😀

@Courtney because I know for a fact they are toothpaste prescriptions for baby toothpastes and I’d rather get that than one from the supermarket? I don’t know what’s so funny about this

@Beatriz because it’s not really a normal thing too do getting toothpaste prescribed..

@Courtney each to their own I guess

@Beatriz they don’t do that here in the Uk lol that’s what’s funny. We just buy toothpaste from the shop lol.

@Beatriz but how often are you going to the dentist? Surely you’re going through more toothpaste than visits to the dentist?! And surely you can BUY a toothpaste in the meantime! 🥴

@Lizzie they usually prescribe a good amount of toothpastes as a first and then yeah I’ll just buy normal toothpaste from the supermarket or if you wanna stick to the dentist one just do a repeat prescription

@Beatriz sounds like a waste of resources if you can just go and buy it 🙁
