Speech at this age

What is actually considered ‘normal’ for a toddlers speech at this age? I read so many different things. I know every child is very different. My little boy says around 70 words. And he’s starting to sometimes put two words together such as all done, bye bye …, all gone, purple grapes.

From what I've read typically by age 2 it's around 50-100 words and 2-3 word sentences. Then from age 2 to 3 it can be 100-200+ words and 3+ word sentences. My little girl is amazing with her speech (but not great mobility wise so its swings and roundabouts 😅). She probably has 150+ words and sometimes says whole sentences. We had an 8 word sentence from her the other day 😬. So every child is different 🙂

@Fiona clever girl! This makes sense as I’ve heard that’s children are ‘walkers’ or ‘talkers’. My little boy isn’t speaking in full sentences but was walking before he was 1 and is very good fine/gross motor skills.

My son is taking a lot says loads of words and randomly some sentences like 'I love car!' And I play with a car. But he only said it once. He's like a parrot at the moment anything I said he repeats back to me it's amazing watching them develop isn't it. X
