Hi, sounds similar to my LO - he’s close to walking but just babbling atm and hasn’t said his first word yet 😂 He used to ignore me when I said his name most of the time as he was off playing - like you said he’s very busy 😂 and didn’t look at me much. He responds a lot more now and is making a lot more eye contact over the last few weeks so maybe yours will shortly. I’m sure you’re doing everything right, mum guilt is such a killer 😞. I’ve stopped reading things online as it won’t change anything and just makes me worry. Also my LO doesn’t point and just completely ignores me if I wave but has been clapping for months so I guess they’re all different Hope that helps a little!
@Abi they sound identical!🤣 he literally can’t sit long enough to even watch me say different words to him😅😅 reading stuff online is so bad, honestly keep myself up at night worrying about it all. I have a feeling he is just ignoring me, selective hearing we call it lol! he’s not waving either but loves clapping. No doubt they will be talking later down the line and we will be wondering what we were so worried for😅😅
@Kirsty thank you❤️ he is a wild boy! i seriously cannot get him to sit still for 3 seconds🤣🤦🏽♀️ i’m hoping once he’s got the walking mastered he will start concentrating on the rest x
My little boy was the same with making noises/words. He's always been more interested in being walked or trying to crawl and generally being active all the time. Until he mastered crawling on all fours just over a week ago and then literally a few days later started babbling, saying dada, hiya etc. I feel like he was so fixated on certain things he had no interest in others, until he stopped having to concentrate on them so much. I wouldn't worry too much yet, it sounds like you have enough to worry about just keeping up with him 😂
