My daughter is about to be 2.5 years old and I think she’s ready. I have no clue where to start though, I need advice!
When you started potty training did you take your toddler to the bathroom every 2 hours then reward them some how when they were successful? I’m so nervous!
If you wanna train fast and be consistent I did more than 2 hours. When we wake up and before bed. Few minutes after meals. And ask every little while in between like half hour but also depends on how much they drink a day. Reward with a prize. Can be a m&m or skittle or whatever. Just make it fun. I made up a song with mine. I know someone that makes flushing the fun part. I got floor potties for around the house and a potty seat for her bathroom. We only use pull ups at night and some naps if she hasn’t gone now. Occasionally when we go out for long periods too bc I don’t have a seat cover to pack for outings but you can just bring a floor potty for the trunk. Put a plastic bag inside to avoid the mess. She pulls her diaper off for the potty. Sometimes pants and undies too but sometimes she’ll go through it so we’re working on understanding undies isnt the same as a diaper. She just turned 3 this month
@Macdalia this was so helpful thank you so much! I didn’t even think about m&m’s either that’s genius 💕
Nothing sparkles in a kids eye like a piece of candy 😂 especially if they don’t get it all the time
