Diaper pails

What has worked for you? I’m using the ubbi but every time we open it to throw in a diaper the smell is unbearable. It stinks up the whole nursery. We try to empty it frequently, I’ve tried airing it out between bag changes, used those scented packs you throw at the bottom of the pail, nothing works. I think we are ready to move on and see what else is out there. Is the diaper genie any better? Is a regular trash can with lid better?

https://a.co/d/ebqEILA We have something like this, not this one. But here's the plus sides.... You can use regular grocery bags in it. You put the diaper in the top and spin it so it falls into the bag underneath. The smell is locked in there until you open it. There's different sizes (ours hold about 2 days worth)

I had the ubbie with my first kid same experience as you! Awful’ now I have the diaper genie so far so good!

I think all diaper pails will smell after a while. I have the diaper genie and at first its good but after a while it smells horrible. I clean it with lysol in and out, i pour baking soda in the bag. It helps

I alway put diapers in a doggy baggy, tie it and throw it in the pail. Mostly just with the pooped diapers.

Thank you all for your suggestions! Looking into this and also trying the baking soda idea for now. I do put the poopy diapers in a separate bag before throwing it in

Tons of baking soda in the bottom of the bucket

I use the munchkin one from Walmart and it comes with arm and hammer clip ins for the lid and it works perfectly!
