SMA Alfamino

I’ve made the bottle as instructed… but there’s bits of residue left around the bottle has anyone else found this to be grainy? And is that ok? He’s just had his first bottle of it and was really sick is this normal? I suppose his little tummy has to get used to it?

Yes it is very grainy. I have to use carobel to thicken it or she will be sick as it’s much thinner than regular milk

We use Alfamino and we always do hot shot method with carobel and then add cooled boiled water makes the perfect temp bottle and perfect consistency, example for 6oz bottle -2.5oz hot water -6 scoops formula and 1 scoop Carobel -shake vigorously for 15 Seconds -3.5oz cooled boiled water (we store cooled boiled water in sterifeed bottles you can buy off amazon) -let it sit for 1 min so the carobel has time to thicken Perfect to drink straight away x

@Daelarrna I’m confused isn’t it a scoop of formula to an ounce of water? Thankyou! Xx

@Lauryn he wasn’t as sick on his last runnier formula but I do have carobel started him on half a scoop x

@Becky yes definitely always 1 scoop per oz! Unless otherwise stated by a healthcare professional as it can actually make baby really ill The grains are very normal for that formula so I wouldn't worry and as above use carobel as its like 90 percent of babies get reflux from the allergy formulas

@Becky I only have to use about half a scoop too and that seems to be enough for her. It might just take him a few days to get used it though anyway

@Becky sorry yes I accidentally put 4 but meant 6 x
