Bassinet stroller…?

I’ve heard so many different things online saying that you should have your baby in a bassinet type stroller instead of car seat stroller… I am a first time mom and am confused as to what kind of stroller to get? I already have a car seat jogger stroller. Should I get a second stroller that has a bassinet attachment on it? Should I get both?

I will say I had the car seat/bassinet stroller and it was really nice my son is two and till this day we still use the bassinet if we going on long trips so he can sleep comfortably I think it’s definitely a good thing to have when traveling in case your baby goes to sleep that way they get to lay flat if I’m not mistaken I have the graco 2 in 1 or sum like that

Bassinet is for longer walks or if you’ll be out for the day. Babies can’t be in a car seat for longer than a couple hours. I can link the one I have it my registry, it has both options. https://a.co/d/4vbvSYu

I missed the last part of your post.. check if the stroller you already have has an option for a bassinet attachment

It depends how much are you going to be outside with a stroller the very first months. If you have a backyard maybe you will just take the baby out to stay in a fresh air instead of going around with a stroller. We bought the bassinet attachment for my now toddler. She was born in December. I used the bassinet a handful of times because it was so cold outside and then for short trips to the doctor etc we used car seat and putting car seat onto the stroller with the attachment. The second bigger stroller we have is baby jogger gt2 and it goes down almost flat so when she was 3/4 months old we were already able to use that one. To sum up if you need a bassinet depends on how much you are planning to be going around in a stroller with a newborn baby and other stroller you will have. Some strollers good for newborns some strollers are from 6m old. Keeping newborn baby in a car seat for longer than 30m/1h is dangerous.
