17 month old dropping nap

I am not adjusting well. I am 16 weeks pregnant. My husband started a new job that starts at 7 compared to his previous job that started at 2 pm. So now I don’t get to sleep in. And now that she’s dropping a nap I don’t get to sleep as much during the day and I’m losing my mind.

Has she done this for several weeks in a row? 17 months is very young to be dropping naps. How much sleep does she get at night? What are her wake windows?

You mean she’s dropping from 2 naps to 1 nap?

Just here in solidarity because my daughter has been in the thick of the worst sleep regression we’ve ever had for months. Overnight wakings every night for a few months and now the last 2 weeks she’s been fighting her only nap of the day and bedtime. She will cry and fight and refuse nap some days and I just have to put her to bed at 6:30 instead of 8.

@Megan dropping to one nap sorry. She sleeps from around 7:30/8 pm to 6:30 am

How long is her 1 nap? My little sleeps at 8:30 and wakes up anywhere between 6:30 - 8 am. He will nap about 5 hours after he wakes, typically around 11:30 - 12:30 and sleep for 2.5 - 3 hours. But we do have days where he only stays asleep for an hour. Either because we have guests over and he's overstimulated or he's teething and feeling icky.

Ahh. Then that’s perfectly normal. My 18mo has a similar schedule and naps from 12:30 to 2:30.

Normal just depends on the kido. We have two separate friends with babies the exact same age (17mo all boys). One friend’s babe gave up all naps a few months ago. The other friend’s babe takes one nap from 12:30-2:30ish. And my babe is still on two naps 10-11 ish and 3-4 ish. It doesn’t help with the exhaustion I know but no point getting bent out of shape worrying if your little one is normal. I’m 33 weeks pregnant and our little guy still wakes 2-4 times a night so I know how it goes. Best advice I can give you is to get out of the house. It’s so hard to do when you are tired but makes the day so much better/less frustrating. Our favorite winter activity is going to the pool for sure.

@Winnie it’s about 2 hours so it’s a good length. I’m just struggling with exhaustion
