Baby is constantly screaming

My baby is 10 weeks old and a majority of all he does if he's not sleeping is scream. It's only gotten progressively worse since week 2. I'm not even exaggerating. I have tried everything under the sun to console him. I've fed him, burped him well, entertained him, gas drops, gripe water, I keep him clean and dry, bicycle kicks, tummy rubs, warm bath, rocking, bouncing, walking around, skin to skin, etc. literally what feels like everything. We have been doing craniosacral therapy every two weeks and he's being treated for silent reflux currently. I just have a gut feeling something is wrong and no one will listen to me. He cries like something is hurting him and it just breaks my heart 😭😭 idk what to do at this point!! My husband doesn't understand because he's always at work when the worst of it is happening. I just wish I could help my sweet little boy. 😭

@Holly we've ruled out colic with the pediatrician and most of the symptoms he doesn't have :/ we've seen 3 pediatricians to get different opinions too

Could it be CMPA? This sounds similar to what my daughter went through and she has CMPA. We got it diagnosed around when she was 10 weeks old x

CMPA?

Are you bfing or formula feeding? If formula try talking to your doctor about prescription formula, and for bfing make sure babies latch is good. My baby boy had colic for 5 months and we tried off of the above. Towards the end of it we invested in a mommaroo (used of FB) and made a lot of use out of our adjustable base. He ended up sleeping on my chest elevated by the base. His poor tummy is just upset. Also vibration helped, I put my electric toothbrush on his side in the mommaroo. Hang in there momma, remember it's ok to take a beat ❤️

@Bianca I've brought it up and they said don't change his formula and I did anyway and noticed a difference in the crying when I did! He's combo fed and I don't do dairy! He cried still but not as distressful. But now it's getting really bad again :( I'm beginning to think I'm going to have to switch to a hypoallergenic formula just to make sure because they refuse to think anything is wrong! He has an appointment on March 6th so I'll push for more answers on that!

@Maire I'm combo feeding! My supply dipped drastically because his latch was super shallow and I had cracks and blisters and couldn't nurse as frequently. We see a lactation consultant often and it's improved a lot after seeing her and the chiropractor. He doesn't have a tongue tie or anything. I've been thinking I need to switch to a hypoallergenic formula or get a script so WIC can let me get something different. We were told it wasn't colic more than once and he doesn't seem to have really much of the colic symptoms other than the excessive crying. We have a mommaroo! He tolerates it occasionally but I've noticed he gets more use out of his bouncer and that has vibration! he just wants to be held 24/7 and sleeps on our chests most of the time but doesn't seem to have issues on his back. He does snore a LOT though and has a lot of reflux symptoms but that medicine wasn't really helping either. I just feel helpless and want him to feel better whatever it may be 🥺 thank you 🫶🏼

@Kaye that's the one my husband's cousin recommended! I'm going to see if I can get a script so I can bring it to WIC

I agree with Kaye from above. Try Nutramigen. It’s expensive but it works. My daughter’s pediatrician kept saying that she was fine and babies cry unfortunately. I KNEW something was wrong. Thank goodness the nurse/receptionist at the front pulled me to the side and mentioned changing the baby’s formula and that I didn’t need permission from the doctor to do it. When I tell you my daughter changed to a different baby within 24 hours. It was such a relief. Before, if she didn’t have a bottle in her mouth eating or sleeping she was screaming at the top of her lungs. ALL DAY LONG! Good luck and I hope it works for you.

@Andree I'm definitely going to see if we can get some help or assistance for it because I want to help him so bad! When I changed from the yellow enfamil to the gentlease Neuro Pro I saw a major difference but then he started getting super constipated. We just switched to the regular gentlease and he isn't constipated anymore and he was doing okay but now he's screaming and crying worse on this one. When I can pump enough, I cut the formula with my milk and that helps a lot too! I'm hopeful that these screaming days will be over soon 🤞🏼 thank you so much 🫶🏼

Could be CMPA. My son was diagnosed at 20 days old although I knew by day 4 they made me wait 2 weeks. We’ve been through 6 formulas and finally settled on neocate as he has quite a bad allergy. Personally I wouldn’t go off of what milk other people are trying you to try as doctors will usually start you off on a hydrolysed formula rather than amino acid based formulas. Nutramigen was the worst one for my son and was constantly being sick Atleast 4 muslins soaked between each feed. Definitely go to the doctors and query it!xx
