@Taylor did it hurt on breasts once you stopped completely. please tell what did you do ?
@Taylor and how many days the pain stays. i’m actually scared for this part.
Honestly, I don’t remember it hurting. If it did, it was very minimal. The very gradual weaning makes it much less painful.
@Taylor how can you take away if they cry middle of m
@Ishita do you mean middle of the night? I sleep trained my baby so I used the method that worked for us. She usually only woke up once but then stopped. I’ve heard you can offer water if they wake up.
I just weaned my 14 mo old and it went surprisingly well considering she was dependent on nursing to go to sleep! Naps and bed time!! I started with naps, the first nap I would feed her in an area we didn’t usually feed to sleep (ex downstairs instead of nursery) then I’d go to her nursery and rock / walk / recite a book she likes or I’d have my husband try and get her down for the nap. We did that and then once that got easier did the same for the next nap and then I really couldn’t take the night nursing anymore (I’m 15 weeks pregnant and it was painful I couldn’t stand being touched etc) so I gave her her milk like normal at dinner and made sure if she didn’t have a lot I offered before winding down for bed time and I just went to her nursery (made sure to wear an actual t shirt after living in nursing bras for 14 months😅) and just walked or rocked/recited her fav book and she went down surprisingly easy!! Miraculously she’s been sleeping the best she’s ever slept too! You got this!
Take away one feed for a few days, then another for another few days, repeat until done. That’s the advice I was given by a lactation consultant and it worked great. I replaced each feed with (non dairy) milk from a sippy cup.
