How to drop a feed

My July baby is nearly 8 months and is still on 6 bottles sometimes even 7. He drinks 6oz every time. I've tried to increase it but he just won't drink any more than that. He's also having 2 meals a day breakfast and dinner. I want to start decreasing his bottles so he drinks more in one go but I really don't know how to encourage him to have more than 6oz. How did you mamas do it?

I'm in the same boat, my little one has 6 7oz bottles and breakfast and supper, however he doesnt eat much as I don't think he's very hungry. I know we need to drop a bottle but no idea where to start so hoping there will be some advice in your comments 🤞

How long is he going between bottle feeds?
My boy has 4 bottles and goes 4 hours, 2 meals and no night feed anymore

Avatar

he's going 3.5 hours but the problem is he still does 2 night feeds. So 4 in the day 2 at night

We are the same, still two night feeds with 4 day feeds and two solid meals (not very big meals because i just dont think hes hungry). I'm just not sure if it should drop an evening feed so he has more food at supper time or if they 'naturally' drop a feed themselves 🤷‍♀️

I normally wait about an hour after a bottle to feed him. He likes his food so does normally finish his purées and I also offer 3oz water with each meal which he finishes. But even after all that he's still excited for his milk an hour and a half later 😭 I don't want to take away a bottle if he actually still needs it

I will feed solids about an hour and a half after the bottle and my LBs bottles are 4 hours apart. I will notice by the next bottle he won't take all of it. He's on 7ozs per bottle, just concerned that I'm starting to overfeed but being a FTM, ive no idea if or how to drop a feed as all the advice is to keep the bottles the same when weaning, but how on earth can they be hungry enough to increase their food intake until.they are 12 months? 🙈

if he doesn't take all of the bottle after a feed maybe you can drop that one? Yours seem to be satisfied after a meal so it would make sense to drop one.

Could you go longer between bottles?
Or maybe try giving me more solids for each meal?

i don’t think you need to rush to drop the day bottles! all the advice is they will naturally start to drop them around 9 months. we weaned him off a night bottle by decreasing the amount by 30ml every 3 days alongside increasing the amount of milk during the day (if that’s any help!)

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7
