Potty training?

How & when did you potty train your child? My son turned 2 recently and I'd love to get him potty trained. I appreciate any tips and advice that helped you! Thanks in advance. ❤

It's not a case of choosing a time and doing it. You need to wait until they show signs they are ready to potty train otherwise you'll just clean up accident after accident with no success and potentially make it harder to actually potty train them later. Has he shown any signs? My daughter is 2.5 and we started at Christmas.

I started on Monday, my son is 2y 2m. He was absolutely showing signs that he was ready and has done so well. If the signs are there, go for it! ❤️❤️

My daughter was 2 years and 7 months old when we properly started we tried a few months before as it was warm weather (so easier) but she wasn’t ready then xx

I completely agree with everyone saying to wait until they’re showing signs! Unfortunately potty training isn’t something you can decide for them to be ready and every kid is different on when they’re ready! But some signs of readiness are telling you (however they can) that they peed or pooped. Asking to have their butt changed Showing internet in the potty. (We bought my daughter one of those little potties just to get her comfy with sitting on it) My daughter turned 2 last month and we’ve tried potty training her a couple times since she does show so much interest in the potty but it just hasn’t stuck yet.

The summer after he turned 2 which worked to be 2.5. we tried a couple times before that because he was interested in the toilet but nothing ever stuck until 2.5. we went with the "always naked" method lol and spent a lot of time outside to limit mess
