My daughter had the same, and I just had to wait until it fully grew out. It took a few months, but it’s back to normal. She’s 4 and Also never complained of pain it even though to me it looks painful 🥲
Assume you mean under the toenail, and yeah there's nothing you can do about that except have it removed. As someone who had their big toenail removed due to injury (was sold running shoes a size too small and didn't realize it until after running 5 miles in them 🙄), I don't recommend it for a 4yo unless necessary. The numbing shots were hard for me to bear. Keep an eye on it for any signs of infection and see a podiatrist if you're worried. In the past I had a toenail injury but smaller area at the top portion and I just let it grow out.
Yeah it’s under her toe nail. It’s like at the very bottom of her toe. Not sure if it’ll grow out or not. I’ll just talk to her pediatrician.
@Ashley that is what I was going to do when we went next time. My sons has been like that for the longest time now
@Heather when did your son get it? I think my daughter was two months or a month and a half.
@Ashley it’s been about the same time from. 2- 2 1/2 months ago. Maybe a little longer! It’s super black
Is it under his/her toe nail? Or actual toe. My 4 year old bruised his big toe nail and it looks BLACK and doesn’t seem to be getting lighter either 🫠
