I’m struggling with my toddler telling me no 😭😭

I say No or Stop like 20000 times per day

I’ve been doing redirection or instead of saying “no” switching up the words so it means no but doesn’t sound like it

Omg yesss 😩

I have to say "look at mama" to break her focus

Oh yes, absolutely! I find that with my daughter, saying"no" makes her want to do something even more. It is way more stealthy and sly to 1) redirect her attention to something else, 2) tell her she can't do this, but she CAN do that, 3) give her choices "is Kira going to do it, or is Mama", 4) or if the same issue comes up a lot I have to tell her what I'm talking away if she doesn't do what I ask by the count of 3. I get WAY better cooperation like this because otherwise she's just constantly testing limits. Everyone is much happier.
