Baby carriers

Hey guys! Does anyone have any recommendations for baby carriers? I’ve got a momcozy one at the moment and both baby and my self hate it! It’s so uncomfortable, baby cries most of the time she’s in it and I can’t blame her because it seems so uncomfortable! She’s a real FOMO baby and miss independent so looking for an outward facing one as she’s not one to be happy to cuddle in to my chest but would rather see what’s going on! TIA x

I recommend finding a sling library to try some on, as what suits one person you may not like! You can also hire through libraries so you can try before you buy to see if it suits your needs As for facing out, it's a bit trickier to get a good hip healthy position so really important to use a carrier from a well respected brand that can support their legs rather than "crotch danglers". Baby wearing consultants also say that they can't world face until 6 months, and even then only for 20 minutes at a time as it can be very over stimulating and there's no way for them to hide their face and cuddle in. Also if they get sleepy you have to turn them facing in. Some brands that are popular and offer a good position when world facing are Tula and ergobaby. Hip carrying is also an option in a ring sling or woven wrap, a sling library could help you with this.

I have an Artipoppe, best money I’ve ever spent

Ergo baby x

We have the momcozy one too, everyone was raving about it online so I thought it would be really good but it’s absolutely horrendous!!! So uncomfortable and baby hates it too, spent so much money on it as well 🥲 my friend has the ergo baby one and I tried it the other day and put baby in it and omg it was the comfiest thing ever!!! I ordered one straight away from Vinted for £30 which was a bargain as they’re over £100 new but I cannot wait to get it and I can’t recommend it enough!

There's some really misleading marketing around the momcozy unfortunately. I second as said above to pop to a sling library, which area are you? If you happen to be west yorkshire then the one in Farsley is amazing 😍 I switch between stretchy wrap (boba serenity, although he'll be out of this soon for extended periods as he's getting too heavy for it to be comfortable), Tula free to grow, woven wrap, and my ring sling. Different carriers from different situations. I also have an integra but I'll be using that when he's a bit bigger - it's a good one for folding up small in my bag or under a pram. They're really not one size fits all so it's good to try some different ones to see what suits your needs x

Thanks everyone for the help! I’d never even heard of a sling library so will look in to this, I’m in the north east of England. She would only ever be in for a short period of time (dog walks) so for 30 mins at a time but obviously want her to my comfortable. Thank you 🙂

Ergo baby

I love my ergo baby 360. It has so much lumber support and as baby grows can be used on your back and on your side
