Newborn bringing up milk
Hi all - I have a 4 week old who keeps bringing up her milk (formula). She burps after her feed but will still bring up some milk even if it’s been a couple hours since her feed.
It’s not vomit, just her milk - is this normal especially since it can be a couple hours after her feed? She’s well and is putting on weight but just a little concerned about the spitting up.

Thanks @Rachael appreciate the response. She’s not upset when she brings it up and weight is good so will just keep an eye on things - hopefully will resolve at some point.

Hey :) it sounds like reflux. My baby is 8 weeks old and from 3 weeks I had to expressive and thickener her milk otherwise she would power puke the whole bottle. I keep her up right for about 20-30 mins after a bottle to help keep things down lol. Even with doing this I can pick her up after hours and she will bring up about a teaspoon or tablespoon of milk. It’s perfectly fine as long as they gaining weight, wet nappies and keeping most of the milk down I wouldn’t worry. 2 out of 3 of my kids suffered from reflux 🤦🏼♀️
