Holiday

I’m due to take my 1 year old abroad in May. Is there a limit on how many pre mades you can take through security? Also! Any tips going away with a 1 year old is much appreciated🥰 flight will be 4 hours x

Hey! I took my baby on holiday last year and we fed right before security as we also only had a 4 hr flight so we had 1 empty bottle, then two full, they then take you somewhere to have the bottle scanned. I don’t think there is a limit it’s just not unlimited but the 100ml doesn’t apply to baby milk or hot water to make milk x

@Liv thanks hun! X

I would also recommend ear defenders for the flight, we had them and they helped him just sleep through it all so his ears didn’t pop x

@Liv I will try this! X

There’s no limit to anything for babies feed, you can take as much ready made, water, pouches, medicine etc through as you like. Ear defenders don’t actually help with ear pressure, feeding/dummy on takeoff or landing will help. We’ve been on 6 flights now with our 10 month old and we’ve never needed to use them nor has she ever suffered with her ears. Make sure all of your liquids are together for ease so you aren’t searching around for them in diff bags at security as they will all have to be screened x

@Hannah 🩷🩷

Each to their own I guess! This is just me giving my experience with my baby who doesn’t have a dummy and may not have been hungry for a bottle at the time, they worked great for us, just do what you feel is right 😊 no right or wrong answer x

@Liv for sure ! You just need to try everything and see what works x

No I was just saying. I’m crew so work on the planes so quite clued up about what works for pressurisation etc. Glad they seemed to work for you ☺️

@Hannah second this x

We’ve just flown with our son who is nearly 10 months, it’s probably obvious but it was handy for us to bring some little snacks with us so when he got grouchy or restless we could give him a melty stick or something to busy himself with 😆

We are away in may too with our 1 year old just turned 1 then x

My little one absolutely loved these on the plane, and I also took lots of different toys in her bag, some that were electric, crackly, moveable, and some books. I also kept them separate from her usual toys, so when she saw them again, she was excited to play with them. My baby was only 5 1/2 months. Be sure to pack lots of snacks for your little one. No doubt you'll be doing lots of walking up and down the plane with them (either after them if they're walking or carrying them, so they can be nosey 😂). Have a lovely time 😍
