Mine is the same. Blows raspberries, squeals and makes a lot of vowel sounds, "ah" "oh" etc. sometimes "g" sounds. But never "mama/dada/baba" etc. I mentioned it to health visitors in my local walk in when I took my boy to be weighed and they said as long as they're making at least some noises that's good. And if they respond to their name etc it shows they have no trouble with hearing so it should come in time. They said to get in touch again if he's not babbling by around 10 months
@Caitlin yeah thats what mine is doing. Glad its not just me. I have no concerns with her hearing or anything
I'm sure it'll come for our LO's. It's so hard not to worry for them though isn't it. I've found myself being a culprit for comparing my baby to others and it's difficult when you see other babies the same age that are saying Mama/Dada etc. I've found my boy has always seemed more focused on developing his motor skills. He listens to me very intently when I talk to him and watches my mouth etc if I say words but he doesn't tend to mimic yet
Mine is also the same. I think we have a walker not a talker ☺️ my girl is super strong and crawling and standing and ver active. But she doesn’t want to babble
My son’s not babbling either. He also makes other noises and blows lots of raspberries but no babbling yet. Perhaps your baby is focusing on other skills? For example, my son went a period without making any sounds and later I realised it’s because he was focusing on learning to sit up from lying position. I just think every baby is different and focuses on different things. I’m going to wait until he’s 10 months to take action.
