That's what I did with the council
I have been offered a new job in the nhs but it’s in a GP surgery so apparently it doesn’t count. But I need the new job really as I can get childcare where as now I work 12 hour shifts and it would cost a fortune 🤣 so the new job won’t wait 3 months for me to work in my old job so I don’t have to pay it back, and I’ve offered to drop to one day a week for 3 months and work both until then but apparently I’m not aloud 2 jobs either. Because it’s the new financial year now in April If I use annual leave I’d also owe that back aswell because I haven’t accumulated that much
Everything bar the stuatory maternity pay, so everything they topped up
Fudge. Yeah, dont pay the childcare. I thought u could have two jobs, but just means double tax.
You can go through your payslips and see what is outlined as OMP. That'll be what you need to pay back
So for example I've just looked at my pay slips, I've still got three months to go before I go back. MY OMP I'd have to pay back is £6297.15 with three months still to go so like 9 grand x
Yeah my form before I went off said I was getting around £8000 but when I spoke to them they said you only pay a little bit of that back not the full amount so I just wondered if anyone had actually paid it back and how much it was! So hard to get a straight answer out of anyone in the nhs🤣
Email payroll, and they will work it out for you. X
I’ve rang them 3 days in a row and each time they said ring back tomorrow and we would have worked it out for you, then when I’ve rang back they have no log of my call and no answers for me🤣😓 thanks everyone anyway! Xx
Ring them and ask for payroll email, that way they have a trace of your log x
I know it's cheeky, but you could just get signed off work for a period of time, as being signed off still counts towards going back xx
I thought of that! But the other job still won’t wait 3 months and I can’t work it in the meantime as it’s 2 jobs🤣🙈 xx
Aww no, they have to reply to an email and put it as important.
All the info should be in their maternity policy - call HR and ask them for a copy. Xx
Do you have any annual leave? U can say u want go bk part time and your annual leave can cover the remaining time u have to go bk for.
