Labour

Guys I need some advice/help! I am currently 27+5 weeks pregnant with Di/di twins, last week I lost a little bit of my mucus plug wasn’t to worried I lost some of it when I was pregnant with my first daughter! But yesterday my bump dropped massively like even my partner was like oh Christ you’ve dropped😂 and now I’ve just been to the toilet and I have lost more of my mucus plug, it wasn’t a bloody show or anything but there was at least a 50p size blob of jelly! How likely is it these baby’s ain’t gonna stay put for much longer? Cause I am stressing, I feel very under prepared🙈

I'd just message your midwife for peace of mind

I’d definitely call triage asap xxx

Your mucus plug can regenerate so it's not necessarily anything to worry about. I gather there hasn't been any pain or bleeding? Maybe ring your midwife and have a chat, or triage if you're really worried. With twins they might be a little more cautious. Try not to stress though. I know that's easier said than done!

I would go to triage, my twins were born at 28+2 and it was FAST, 45 mins from start to finish. Even if it turns out to be nothing to worry about, I would rather be at a hospital if anything did progress based on my own experience.

So I’ve lost more of my plug since posting this, ive had no bleeding but I am having period like cramps now so I am going to go in the shower and let the warm water run on my back and then phone triage if it’s not better! The pressure down there is bad though! Xxxx

@Becca I would phone triage to be safe, especially if there is any pain. Better to be cautious x

@Becca if you haven't already and still feeling the same, I would really go to triage, I cannot stress enough how vital it was that I was already in hospital when i went in to preterm labour, things can change so quickly and if I hadn't already been in hospital with immediate care for my twins one of them wouldn't have made it, he was born with a burst lung and had to be resuscitated, and both of them were on ventilators. I'm totally stressing on your behalf haha, but it's always better to err on the side of caution! Xx

So it’s all calmed down now I haven’t had any pains since having a warm shower and relaxing a little! If anything else is to happen I will be going in abd getting checked out xxx
