I just bought this today! https://amzn.eu/d/c0lsT9h
I tried it on and it seems really great and my daughter seemed veeeery happy on it. But I can give you an update in a couple of days once it's been used a bit more by both my partner and I
So unfortunately after a little while it really becomes quite painful on the hips. And adding the neck/shoulder support doesn't help as it puts all the pressure there. I'm sorry, I had such hopes!
Thank you @Charlène, your review is really useful! I'm tempted to go with the Senarah but the reviews for delivery put me off.
@Emma, trouble is my little one is super tall and anything on my front means I can't see anything and I'm hitting her feet when I walk and when I'm on my own I can't have the backpack type. As it's only going to be used for short periods I think a hip one would be best 🤷♀️ absolutely up for tips and advice from anyone with experience though!
@Laura a ring sling can be worn on the hip and is hands free unlike something like the Senarah as it fully supports your little one. I got a secondhand hippychick hip seat off vinted and it's painful on the hips like the review above
I thought a ring sling was the same as a Senarah, more googling is needed! Thank you @Emma
The Senarah isn't safely hands free, even if they show it in the photos, as a child could easily lean out or pop their legs straight out. A ring sling is much deeper and more supportive as long as it is used correctly and they shouldn't be able to get out, so it's hands free for you. Ring slings are a length of woven (non stretchy) fabric with metal rings that secure the fabric. The width of it makes the seat for your child and you can spread the fabric over your shoulder and back which spreads the weight better, so they are better for your back than a Senarah type carrier as the weight is better distributed. Downside is you have to learn how to put it on properly but they're not difficult and there's lots of great videos around

Sorry I'll shush now 😂 I just tried out lots of different carriers myself so did some research!
Thank you @Emma! It's hard to trust reviews on websites, I massively appreciate the breakdown! 💓
Have you got a sling library around you? Highly recommend checking one out! X
I use a ring sling or a carrier on my back. Most toddler side slings will be worse for your back and shoulder than a well fitted and supportive structured carrier or a ring sling. I use a Sleepy Nico carrier and an integra carrier, they're both soft and lightweight
