I’ve been getting on and off cramps for a while (currently 33+4). I find they happen more when baby is in certain positions. I also had them a lot towards the end with my daughter (all the way up until 39 weeks) and didn’t go into labour so!
This sounds like Braxton Hicks perhaps?
Could just be Braxton hicks, or digestive issues as everything is so squashed up now
I'm getting this (33 weeks) it hurts a little bit but not terribly bad. I was told it's just your body starting to prepare for birth. I get it on and off for a while and then nothing for a day or two. I think so long as it goes away when changing position or moving etc then it's okay? Mine go away when I lay down usually. They have only hit so far, when I'm at work sat at a desk.
Do they stop when you get up and move around? If so sounds like braxton hicks. But could also be round ligament pain. Trust your gut. If you’re worried talk to your midwife.
Thanks all! I’ve had braxton hicks from about 18 weeks and it feels different to that, and also different to round ligament pain. They do tend to ease if I move around and are worse if I lay down. I’ll keep an eye and ask my midwife if I’m worried. I feel more reassured by how common they seem to be from this thread!
I have also had this for just over a week now. I will be 34 weeks on Sunday x
