Nappies

They only wake up once during the night now, but it’s been so difficult mentally this week and each time I keep forgetting to change her belly and feel awful 😭 Never leaked through or pooped overnight but did it make me a bad parent?

Not at all! I change my daughter before bed 9/10pm, she feeds at 5am and if she doesn’t show signs of discomfort I leave her till 7am then change her! You’re not at all a bad parent! They are now at the age where they can sleep longer through the night so don’t necessarily need feeding of changing if they don’t fuss for it. I’m an instinctive mother so go off of her cues ♥️ you’re doing great! Xxx

I usually change my daughters at about 10pm and she won’t wake until like 6-7am and that’s when the next change is xx

No if they sleep through and its just wee leave it even when my son wakes at 5am I still leave it if he falls back to sleep I’ll change it once he wakes for the day. They’ll soon be toddlers that wake up with nappies so heavy they’ll be hanging between their knees and not be the slightest bit bothered you’ll have to convince them to let you change it 🤢

Not a bad parent at all, with my first if he had just weed but needed a fresh nappy on I'd just swap it without wiping in the night so it didn't wake him like a full bum change. I fully plan on doing the same with this baby as soon as he stops pooping in every single nappy 🙃

Nope! I have to remind myself quite often that nappies are literally designed for one thing. I’ll always change him if he’s clearly pooped but it really is amazing how dry they can still be with a heavy wet nappy. They’d let you know if they were unhappy x
